Sheila McGill, 16 year Head Women’s Soccer coach at the University of St. Thomas, will personally evaluate, educate and instruct players at the ID Camp.
Each player will get a feel for what it is like to be a college soccer player and part of the team at the University of St. Thomas.
Sheila McGill enters her 17th year at the helm of the Tommies in 2023. And enters her 3rd year with the Tommies as a Division I institution.
McGill and her staff were named the Region Coaches of the Year or MIAC Coach of the Year in six of those seasons.
She’s also guided her last four DIII Tommie teams to four consecutive NCAA playoff trips, including an unbeaten postseason record in her last two years (6-0-4).
Her 159-68-29 overall record (85-32-15 in MIAC regular-season) includes 11 consecutive winning seasons in conference play, and five consecutive trips to the conference playoffs.
McGill’s 2018 and 2019 teams were nationally ranked most of the seasons. Both the 2018 and 2019 Tommies won or shared both the conference regular-season and playoff
titles. With the 2019 team a shootout away from the NCAA Final Four!
The Tommies’ 19-2-1 record in 2018 included school records for wins (19) and longest win streak (14). The 2019 Toms tied for fifth nationally with a 17-2-5 record, including an 11-0-4 record in their last 15 contests.
